Hi! My name is Madeline Patel and I’m the new Fall 2021 Digital Marketing Intern at Relevance Advisors. I am from Marietta, Georgia and currently am in my fourth year at Georgia Tech. I’m finishing my degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology and will graduate in May 2022. I have decided to pursue a career in marketing as I really enjoyed each marketing class I have taken at Tech. I am excited to keep learning throughout my internship with Relevance Advisors.
Before this internship I had no prior experience in digital marketing. I am so excited about the opportunity to dive in and learn all about digital marketing through real business applications. So far I have learned a lot about Google Ads, Google Analytics, and SEO. I find digital marketing interesting because of how you can track real time results of the advertising campaigns and help different companies grow awareness of their brand. It is a great way to learn how to target potential customers and track the interest over time. I can see how digital marketing is an important aspect of marketing because there is no better way to see the results of your advertising
I have learned so much about the different aspects of business throughout my time at Georgia Tech. I have learned many technical skills and how to analyze data as well as many marketing tools and brand management tools. My classes have made me excited about my future career and I am looking forward to working in the field of marketing after I graduate. This internship has taught me many things about marketing that I could not learn in the classroom. I am grateful to take these skills as I grow in my career.
I think it is very important to be well rounded and involve myself in campus organizations. I have been involved in many clubs at Georgia Tech such as GT Marketing Association, a social sorority, Wreckless (a club to promote mental health on campus), and a Mentorship Program called EXCEL. I am also Vice President of Marketing for Project Smile, a club where we volunteer at children’s hospitals around Atlanta and have craft parties for the kids. I also love reading, spending time with friends, traveling, and art.
I am so grateful for this opportunity to gain real world experience in digital marketing and am looking forward to learning more each day.
